Meeting Information
The Kansas State Board of Education (KSBE) is responsible for overseeing and guiding public K–12 education across the state. Its main job is to provide general supervision of public schools and all educational interests in Kansas, as required by the Kansas Constitution. The Board helps set educational policies, approves academic standards, and works to ensure Kansas students receive a high‑quality education. It also appoints the Commissioner of Education, who serves as the Board’s executive officer and carries out its policies. The Kansas State Board of Education holds monthly business meetings which are open to the public, typically on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of each month.

The Board Policy Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 13th, during the lunch hour 12:15 - 1:15 of the State Board meeting. The meeting will take place at the Boardroom table and will be livestreamed. The Boardroom is on the first floor of the Landon State Office Building at 900 SW Jackson Street.
