Juneteenth, officially named Juneteenth National Day of Observance, is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.
The Juneteenth Day of Service is an opportunity to empower individuals to promote equity and justice through community-based projects as well as recognize and celebrate African American culture and achievements.
To support this purpose, the Kansas Volunteer Commission, a program of the Kansas State Department of Education, announces the availability of grant funds.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) currently has a school bus award opportunity open to districts that own and operate their own fleets.
