The application window for the 2026-27 Kansas Preschool Pilot (KPP) grant is open until Jan. 21, 2026.
The KPP grant provides school districts and their community partners with funding to provide preschool services. Eligible applicants include Kansas unified school districts (USDs) and other entities partnering with school districts.
All schoolwide programs and all targeted assistance programs are required to house their required Title IA documents within the KansaStar platform.
The KSDE fiscal auditing team has begun the annual audits of Kansas school districts. This work will continue until all 285 school districts are audited, with the last audits expected to be completed by mid- to late April.
The KSDE teacher licensure team has updated one of the college credit verification requirements for licensure renewal.
